Andrew Martin Lorbetskie
Passed away suddenly into the hands of God at his residence and place of business Wilno Esso & Variety, on Monday, December 24, 2012, at the age of 62. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years Mary, and his cherished children Christopher and Sheri (David). Andrew was the eldest son of Stephen and Mary Lorbetskie, and brother to Jerome (Colleen), Daniel (Shirl), Richard (Drenda), Brian (Lori) and predeceased by his brother Leonard. Andrew will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all his family, friends and customers. He was a caring and gentle man who worked tirelessly for his family and all his many devoted and loyal customers.
"Andy" was a regular donor at the Canadian Blood Services Clinic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was starting to enjoy golf again with his children and his brother-in-law Tony.
Many friends, customers and family gather at the O'Reilly Funeral Home, in Barry's Bay, on Sunday, December 30, 2012 to pay their final respects. Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. Mary's Church in Wilno on Monday, December 31. Andy's body will be interred at St. Mary's Cemetery in the spring.
"I will never forget you for I have carved you
in the palm of my hand"
Thank You
The family of Andrew Lorbetskie would like to thank all who supported us through our loss and sadness. Words cannot express our deep appreciation to family, friends and customers for all your hugs and words of comfort, visits, calls, cards, flowers, food, money, masses and memorial donations to the Canadian Red Cross and Knights of Columbus. A special thanks to Tim LaRiveiere, Eric Thompson and Richard Brotton for all your dedicated assistance.
To all those first at the scene, Theresa Borutskie, Sean Glofcheskie, Rose, Andrew, Tommy and Victor Kutchkoskie, words alone cannot express how grateful we are that you were there for us when we needed you most.
To OPP Constable Jordan Bullis, you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Your support was and still is breathtaking. To all the other 911 emergency response personnel, thank you so much. We know you did everything for Andy that you possibly could.
Our thanks also to the Sacred Heart League, the Knights of Columbus, to the readers, Kimberly Brown (niece and godchild), and Katrina Belanger (niece), to the pallbearers, Andy's nephews, Trevor Yantha, Jason, Cody, Jesse, Kyle and Mitchell Lorbetskie, to our faithful choir (Platt family), and friends Jonathan and Cindy Whitehead for their inspiring music, to Paul Platt (alter server), to Fr. Wojciech Blach, OMI, for the moving faith homily, to Fr. John Bosco and Fr. Mervin Coulas (concelebrants), to Sylvie Prince and his team for the delicious luncheon. Shaun, Mike and Cheryl at the O'Reilly Funeral Home, thank you so much for your very caring and professional service.
Last, but not least, we'd like to thank God for giving us the strength to carry us through the most difficult time in our lives and we trust that he will continue to love and guide us in the weeks, months and years ahead in carrying on in Andy's name. He has certainly held us in the palm of his hand.
Thank you so much for caring. God Bless!
Mary, Chris and Sheri
